Baby Bump on the Beach: Makeup & Maternity Photoshoot at Spanish Banks

I did a photoshoot for Claire in the past, and also did her bridal makeup and hair on her wedding day in addition to her bridal party — so we know each other well at this point. When she reached out again and asked me to do her makeup and a maternity shoot with her husband Tom, it was an easy ‘yes’ for me.

We started with a glow-up at my home studio in Vancouver. For makeup Claire requested glowing, natural skin, a peachy blush and golden-toned eye makeup. For lips she wanted a soft, neutral pink. It was a great compliment for the outfit she chose for the shoot.

Claire and Tom both wanted a beach photoshoot so they could be close to the sea, so we headed over to Spanish Banks. This is their first baby and they are very excited, which came through in their photos. They couldn’t stop smiling as we kept making our way down the beach.

Claire and Tom both wanted their dog Wilee to be a part of the shoot. Wilee is a very good boy. He loved the beach and was a good model when we needed him to strike a pose. It made a fun day even better.

This is what Claire said after she saw the final images:

“These are so cute!!! I love them! And that's probably the best photo of Wilee that's ever been captured!”

Later she added: “Would love to spread the word about your talent with my friends and family!”
